That pretty much sums up my review. I couldn't even finish it. It's a hard line to walk, creating a character who is both flawed (simply human really) but relatable. TJ Askren doesn't do it here. Instead of feeling some sense of understanding or empathy about why the title character makes the choices she does, I just find myself aggravated by her. Maybe the author doesn't delve enough into what makes her tick. The interspersed medical scenes don't make a ton of sense to me either, i.e. I don't get their inclusion. An introductory scene to establish what she does for a living would have been sufficient as the additional scenes don't given you any insight to who she is or her motivations. They seem almost like filler.On top of that the reunion with Diana was hard, and I was unable to continue reading.

This is the second book I have read from this Author and I love it. She is able to tell such great stories. She is able to make you feel like you really get to know the characters.
Don't let the provacative part scare you off, because there is an amazing story behind it about a young girl going through life and discovering herself and becoming the person she
wants to be. I found that I went through all the emotions with Killian, I even cried with her!. I can't wait for the next book from this author.
I wish the author had expounded on Maggie and Kay's story. I feel that it would have added more depth to the story than Killian's poor relationship choices we read about early in the book. This being said, I still enjoyed the story very much and look forward to the author's next book.
Now this is a book for one who is dealing with their own identity and how to deal with family member who deny that one can be different, to love weather it be a man or woman of the same sex, the heart and soul knows it true calling and no one should tell you that you are wrong , love always find a way.....great story
As a parent of two,I never get to read for my enjoyment. This was my very first kindle purchase. I couldn't put this bookdown. Excellent, emotional story that brings to life the every day struggles of an unheard minority. It's heartbreaking to read the tribulations one must live through that most take for granted. I can't wait to read more about Killian. Highly recommend!
I loved this book! It's a wonderful love story but it's also about the choices and difficulties some gay people face when they are lucky enough to find love. The author did a great job developing her characters. The sex scenes rocked! Oh, and I want a best friend like Joel! Looking forward to your next one, TJ.
Treat yourself well- healthy thoughts.
This book was suggested to me by one of my High School teachers whom I have reconnected with via Facebook. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I will read anything if the story keeps my interest and this one did. I have several Gay and Lesbian friends but this book was much more than just a story about growing up Lesbian. I would suggest this book to all of my friends I think everyone could lean a lesson or two from it! Great job!
Originally, I didn't think this book would be so , so so good. I really enjoyed reading this and couldn't stop thinking about it. I wish there were more books based on Killian, like series? But, we can't get everything we want, Gram didn't...😢😭
